After a successful debut in 2010, a small Dalmatian town is putting on a bigger and better event this year.
The 2nd Omis Guitar Festival is upon us. This year’s event is promising to put Omis firmly on the world map of guitar events. Alongside the local talent, we will be able to see participants from more than 20 countries from all over the world. Live4guitar team would like to join the organizers in extending an invitation to everyone who wishes to demonstrate their guitar skill, meet fellow guitarists, or simply come along to enjoy good music and hospitality of this beautiful town.
For those with the competitive streak there will be a number of opportunities to show off and grab some cool prizes. Competitions are organized in 10 different categories, including both classical and electric guitar and will be structured over the whole period of the festival.
Some big local names have confirmed the attendance.
Macedonian guitar legend Vlatko Stefanovski will kick off a series of guitar masterclass events that will take place every day of the event. He will be followed by Damjan Pejcinoski, Dragianni, Emir Hot, Aleksandar Sukovic and another legendary guitarist from Bosnia, Sead Zele Lipovaca.
Private classes will also be available courtesy of maestros Muris Varajic, Damjan Pecinoski and Dragianni.
Petar Culic and Carlo Marchione, two masters of classical guitar, will also put in a performance followed by a masterclass.
Two supreme guitar builders, Stefano Robol from Italy and Mladen Frankovic from Croatia will show off their guitars and talk about their craft.

All official events will take place in Hotel Plaza in Omis, but the real action will take place after hours in the local BMB cafe. From 10 pm until early morning after each day’s scheduled events BMB will play host to some guitar virtuosos who have promised to put on an unforgettable show.
So come along, show what you’ve got and rub shoulders with the good and the great.
See you there.
