Here's the first in a mini series of free lessons in which I'm aiming to demonstrate how you can add some extra colour to your solos by adding just one note to the pentatonic scale. This lesson contains four licks in Cm, with added "blue note"!
In this lesson you get four licks that demonstrate how you can get some cool ideas by adding just one note to your good old pentatonic scale.
I've deliberately tried to avoid being overly blues-ey, just to prove that although it's the "blues scale" it's not limited to that style alone. There's a funky/fusion-ey extended backing track for you to experiment with, along with full transcriptions and demo vids.
I hope you enjoy the lesson, and please feel free to leave comments/questions in the box!
