“All I Want” is a great example of strumming technique for this style of music. The tempo is quite fast, but the rhythms mainly consist of steady quarter and eighth notes with the occasional sixteenth embellishment. In the Guitar Pro file and PDF, I have included the picking directions above the tab. Read the rhythms along with watching the video and you’ll see that the rhythm mainly comes from my forearm which is swinging steady eighth notes, and my wrist quickly fills in any sixteenths that happen. Learn the rhythms slowly, and gradually bring up to speed with a metronome. If you learn the song this way you will find that your rhythm playing, especially with power chords, will tighten up.
